Who we are

JB Assists was founded by Jackson Burton, a young athlete originally from Baltimore, Maryland and now based in Southern California. He started this nonprofit with a straightforward idea — no kid should have to sit out because they don't have what they need to play. On the court, an assist is the pass that makes someone else's shot possible. Off the court, it means the same thing — showing up, passing it forward, and helping the next kid get their shot. What began as a passion project became a movement, built on the belief that when we take care of each other, the whole community wins. One assist at a time.
